MANYU COMMUNITY RADIO (MCR) FM 95.0 was established as a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-religious and non-profit with a main goal to contribute to the socio-economic and cultural development of region; and to complement government’s efforts towards the well being of Cameroonians living in Manyu Division.

Identifying the need for a better media outlet for the people of the Manyu Region to assist them achieve the aforementioned objectives, MIVA Netherlands donated the radio station which will serve as a communication channel for the grass root people especially.

Manyu Community Radio (MCR) FM 95.0 went ON AIR in Mamfe, Manyu Division, South West Region, in October 2012. With a 1000 watts transmitter, and broadcasting on a frequency modulation of 95.0, MCR broadcasts to over 300,000 Cameroonians.

Some enclave communities like Akwaya, Oguran, Babong, and Boki listened to a Cameroonian radio for the first time and have since felt like belonging to our nation Cameroon when the MCR went ON AIR.

The radio has an exclusive coverage in entire Manyu and Lebialem Divisions; with extensive coverage to Bakassi and other communities in Ndian Division; Bangem and other communities in Kupe Muanenguba Division. In fact, it covers most of the unreached communities of the four (4) enclave Divisions of the South West Region.

Manyu Community Radio (MCR)’s coverage also extends to neighbouring Nigeria border communities.
